What you’ll be doing:
- Safely operate Brisbane City Council buses
- Provide helpful and professional customer service
- Assist passengers with information about routes and services
- Complete vehicle safety and operational checks
- Follow all road safety and operational procedures
- Work as part of a professional and supportive team
No bus driving experience? That’s okay you don’t need previous bus driving experience to apply.
If you have the right attitude, a strong focus on safety and enjoy working with people, you’ll receive the training and support you need to build your skills and start your career as a Bus Operator.
Experience in transport, logistics, delivery, hospitality, retail, customer service, defence, emergency services or other customer-facing environments can provide highly transferable skills.
We’re looking for people who:
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
- Have a strong commitment to safety
- Enjoy working with people and providing great customer service
- Are reliable, punctual and professional
- Can remain calm and confident in different situations
- Are willing to complete the required training and qualifications
- Are flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
